The advice from our driving school and driver standards unit is not to use the nearside bus lanes on B&T as drivers expect us to overtake then on the offside which allows them to go nearside (and technically breaching the bus lane). In that respect it is sound advice.

Council issued tickets are Penalty Charge Notices which are decriminalised FPN's. You would need to write to the council requesting dispensation. They may well want a declaration signed by an Inspector, but more than likely a Supt. If that fails would have to put the case to PATAS.... Parking Appeals Tribunal Service.

It really does make you proud to serve the public especially with a spineless supportive management team like you've got. If you Email me your job Email address I will Email you a copy of our cancelation form so you've got a guide to contest tickets with. I'm away for a couple of weeks, but will do it on my return.

Sound advice indeed, but fails to take in to account that the closer you get to Central London, the more people choose to pull in to the middle of the road or beyond, to let you past!

Or the taxi drivers that look ... and still pull out from the side road. I think his passenger had a heart attack....really should be more input at the training stage for new drivers on what to do if something is bearing down on you on blues and twos.

Worse still are the pedestrians that look, see you, acknowledge you, then walk deliberately across the road! I've grown a few more grey hairs from that little stunt over the years!

I wonder if kill markings on the door of the car would be deemed inappropriate?  Kiss
