How long do police cautions last? - It's for a pal of mine, honest... who's wanting to be a carer but has 2 cautions from a while ago.. for Drunk & Disorderly.

Obviously she'll have to get a CRB check, will they appear?

Depends whether they were "Adult Cautions" or the now outdated "Juvenile Cautions".....

Normally cautions last for 5 years but you cannot have two cautions for the same thing under the current rules (i.e. if you had a caution for theft and then were dealt with for another theft offence, you would no longer have the opportunity of getting a caution and you'd end up going to court).

If the cautions were for different offences then thats something entirely different as you can have a cution for theft and then one for public order for example.

And yes, it will show up on the police check....

Hope this helps.
